#HysterHUB16 to Give a 360° View of Low Cost of Lift Truck Ownership

29th September 2016

The next Hyster® HUB Event will take place from 4th – 7th October 2016 in Weeze, Germany, providing a showcase of lift truck solutions to overcome the many different challenges encountered by thriving businesses facing Industry 4.0.
“Whilst there will be a wide spectrum of products on show, the HUB experience isn’t just an exhibition of tough trucks,” says Kate Pointeau, Hyster Brand Manager. “With live demonstrations and simulations of real-life working environments, the event is specially designed to explain the different ways that Hyster is helping specific businesses, whether through products, special attachments and accessories or through processes and tools, to enable fleet management.”
More than just metal
In addition to seeing the latest product additions, visitors invited to the Hyster® HUB will have the opportunity to see and experience a wide range of products, technologies and solutions from warehouse equipment to container handlers, attachments to telematics.  Plus, they will have chance to see how different combinations of these Hyster® products and services can positively impact a business.
The event will illustrate ways in which the intelligent design and quality manufacturing of robust Hyster® trucks provides low cost of ownership across a variety of applications, as well as outlining the different environmental considerations and benefits of the Hyster product range.
Different industries, different needs
“Hyster has one of the widest lift truck portfolios in the world, offering solutions for businesses with almost any operating environment,” explains Ian Melhuish, Vice President Product and Industry Solutions. “We are in Industry 4.0, so the HUB will demonstrate solutions to take businesses into the future, whatever their challenge.”
Paper, waste, metal and other heavy industries, warehousing, manufacturing and operations in ports and terminals will all be areas of focus at the event.  The HUB experience will take a 360° approach, highlighting all of the most relevant solutions for each industry at every different stage of the supply chain.
Tough trucks for challenging environments
“Even applications within the same industry can experience a range of different, demanding environments,” explains Kate Pointeau. “Take warehousing for example. In one company, the challenge might be operation in a sub-zero cold store. Another might need to consider alternative products or warehouse layouts to achieve greater throughput or more flexibility to meet changing patterns in demand in congested warehouses. Some are also seeking to explore options such as automation.”
The Hyster® HUB will outline the range of solutions, including Big Trucks, suited to challenging environments, such as those with high heat, low temperatures, dirt and debris, wet conditions or a need to withstand changeable weather.
Customers will also be able to experience solutions to address infrastructure challenges, such as Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) trucks for small spaces and Hyster Tracker™, a wireless asset management tool, which can be applied to almost all Hyster® trucks as well as to trucks in mixed brand fleets.  It offers multiple opportunities to improve truck utilisation and maintenance as well as supporting multi-truck operations for both drivers and fleet owners.
Custom solutions and special engineering
“We are personalising the customer experience with more choice and added value than ever before,” says Ian Melhuish.  “With a range of options across the product portfolio, trucks can be customised to maximise effectiveness and usability for their specific application, while still ensuring a low cost of ownership.”
The event will demonstrate the range of possibilities for customers, such as battery power solutions including Lithium-ion, different cost-saving tyre types and programmes to assist with timely changing of tyres, varied attachments and SOLAS compatible container weighing options.
In addition, the Hyster® HUB will share some of the latest solutions delivered by the Special Products Engineering team which can customise trucks to provide completely bespoke solutions that meet the particular challenges of specific applications. There will be special focus on unique offerings and application specific solutions for heavy industries dealing with bulky and heavy loads such as steel, wood and paper.
Through a strong global network of local distribution partners with extensive knowledge, Hyster can offer global support for even the most demanding operations. For an invitation to attend this exclusive event and see the best in integrated solutions from Hyster, customers are encouraged to speak to their national or regional Hyster® Dealer.
