It’s time for the next evolution in the range of Hyster® Container Handlers and 18+ tonnes capacity Lift Trucks! So, what’s new? And how can it help you?

New cab for Hyster® 18 – 48 tonne lift trucks

The latest evolution of the Big Truck range brings a new cockpit-style cab to the Hyster® 18 – 48 tonne lift truck series. With more glass integral to its design the new premium cab provides excellent visibility for operators during driving, reversing, and manoeuvring.

Work is also easier and more comfortable than ever for operators with a new seating design, large floor area and heating and ventilation options to suit summer or winter conditions. Plus, new controls position all truck information at the driver’s fingertips.

Dedicated Hyster® Container Handler Cabin

For Hyster® Empty Container Handlers and Hyster® ReachStackers, the updated trucks have a specially developed operator cabin that provides even more floor space and a re-designed joystick control.

To help you keep control of costs, the cabin also includes a performance counter which reports usage data such as the number of containers moved, fuel used per container and distance covered per container.

New digital displays enhance productivity

To support accurate and efficient handling, Hyster® Empty Container Handler drivers will also benefit from a user-friendly digital performance 7” display.

Looking to speed up operations and reduce ‘mispicks’? An optional second graphic display may help. This can clearly show the status of spreader engagement and whether the container has a positive lock or not, as well as any limitations the operator should be aware of.

The new Hyster® ReachStacker cabin also includes a dual digital display as standard, showing load weight and load moment information, as well as boom geometry. This helps support operators with suggested actions for maintaining stability and reducing load-centre. Applications handling at long load centres with Hyster® ReachStackers can also increase performance thanks to extra low-end engine torque on the new Stage V engines – another important update.

Stage V compliant diesel engines

The latest evolution of Hyster® Big Trucks introduces new Stage V engines for all trucks with a capacity above 18 tonnes, so that you can continue to benefit from a low Total Cost of Ownership, while also meeting emissions regulations. The latest engines reduce fuel consumption, while maintaining productivity and lifting speeds, bringing the cost per load moved down. Noise levels are lower too.

The Stage V Hyster® trucks also incorporate smart monitoring and service to help you optimise uptime. For example, the service interval of the engine oil has been extended from 500 to 1000 hours and the engine oil level will be shown in the cabin display, so there is no need to even use a dipstick.

The new Stage V truck engines use a combination of a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) and DEF like AdBlue® and a Diesel Particle Filter (DPF). The truck is designed with easy access and lengthy ash cleaning intervals to help make maintenance manageable.

All of the updated Hyster® Big Trucks can accommodate a wide range of extreme duty applications. However, you can also select the right truck for your needs thanks to a range of different options. These include pump sizes and operating mode, as well as add-ons like a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, directional control on steering column, Bluetooth radio, container weighing solutions, a choice of seats and many more.
